Robert Carl Jones, 80 passed away July 5, 2021 in Camp Verde, Arizona. He was born April 2, 1941 in McKinney, Texas.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 9AM at Chief Tecopa Cemetery in Pahrump, Nevada.
Robert “Bob” Carl Jones went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2021 at the age of 80. He was at home with his daughter, Cheryl Hough, son-in-law, John Hough and granddaughter, Misty Kelley by his side.
Robert, known to most as Bob was born in McKinney, Texas on April 2, 1941. At the age of 16, Bob enlisted in the Army and later served in the National Guard. He lived and worked throughout Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. He was a surveyor for the State of Arizona doing projects including the I-17 Highway. He also worked for the nuclear test plant, known as Area 51 in Nevada. In 2015 Bob left Pahrump, Nevada and returned to Camp Verde, Arizona to be with family. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling and a good movie. He also enjoyed archery shoots with his family.
Robert is survived by his step-son, Robert Weller of Grand Junction, Colorado; step-daughter, Cheryl Hough of Camp Verde, Arizona; brother, Jimmy Jones of Casa Grande, Arizona; as well as 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece “Bea” Jones of Pahrump Nevada; mother and father, Cotner and Maudine Jones of Arizona; brother, Bobby Jones of Eloy, Arizona; step-son, James Weller of Buckeye, Arizona; step-son, Ronald Weller of Pahrump, Nevada; and grandson, Sean Weller of Arizona.
He will be laid to rest on July 15, 2021 at 9:00am at Chief Tecopa Cemetery in Pahrump Nevada.
