Obituary of Virginia Sharon Cox
Virginia Sharon Cox (born Fuller), 76, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on January 20, 2020 in Cottonwood, Arizona. Sharon, born November 5, 1943 in Prescott, Arizona, was the third of eight children of Loran “Poke” Fuller and Lois Hunt. She attended Prescott High School and then trained as a hair stylist. When Sharon met Bill Cox, she later exclaimed, “He was the most handsome man I had ever seen.” They married on May 30, 1964 and were married for 39 years before Bill passed away. Between the two of them, they had five children. Sharon was co-owner of The Hair Escape in Cottonwood. For 37 years she was hair stylist, confidant, therapist and friend to her patrons. Several younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and family friends felt she was their “second mom”. She was a woman of faith, and a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Camp Verde Ward. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, hunting with her husband and brothers, and “going to the lake”. She enjoyed traveling, visiting such places as Puerto Vallarta and Kauai, Hawaii. Sharon had a zest for life and will be missed by family and friends who loved her. Sharon is survived by her three children, Lynette (Monte) Baldwin, Mike Cox, and Anna (Mark) Kunze; stepson, Brad Cox; eight grandchildren, Ryan Baldwin, Misha (Andrew) Barnes, Dylan Hembree, London Congdon, Nicolette Congdon, Jeremy Brady, Spencer Brady, Ashley (Brandon) Copeland; eleven great grandchildren, Brooklyn Woods, Vaughn Barnes, Conway Barnes, Clara Barnes, Mabel Barnes, Mindy Brady, Logan Brady, Bryson Brady, Navya Brady, Rodney Copeland, Bently Copeland; her siblings, Leon (Lucille) Fuller, Jerry (Susan) Fuller, Linda (Otis) Thrasher, Doug (Martha) Fuller, Jeanette Martin, Darrel (Donna)Fuller; her sister-in-law Judy Fuller, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cox; her mother Lois Hunt Fuller; her father Loran Revilo Fuller; her stepson, Mark Cox; her granddaughter Jennifer Baldwin; her brother Dennis Fuller; and her brother-in-law John Martin. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 360 Fifth Street, Camp Verde, AZ. There will be a viewing from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00. Interment will be at the Pine Cemetery in Pine, AZ. Arrangements are being made by Bueler Funeral Home, 143 W Arnold St, Camp Verde, AZ. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at Cottonwood Hospital for the exception care and loving kindness they gave to Sharon.
